Huangpu District is one of the ten districts in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China.
The Whampoa Military Academy was founded there in 1924.
Huangpu district is one of the industrial development districts in Guangzhou. A lot of factories and wharfs are settled in this district. Also it reside some hotels mostely used for the business people and famous canton fair.
